Dr. Ole Martin Rordam's visit to TSSU G. Zhvania academic pediatric clinic

Norwegian doctor-dermatologist, Ole Martin Rordam, is visiting Tbilisi State Medical University on a four-day visit. Within the framework of the visit, he conducts treatments for various diseases at the Givi Zhvania Pediatrics Academic Clinic of TSSU, for the patients of the clinic and the patients of the first university clinic. Together with Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Dr. Rordam performs consultations and operations on various types of hemangiomas. In the direction of dermatological diseases, such diagnoses as: acne, rosacea, oily seborrhea, treatment of capillaries, treatment of hyperpigmentation (sunspots, solar lentigo, melasma) consultations and treatment are carried out with the associate professor of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases, Maya Matoshvili, who is TSSU works in the university clinics of

Dr. Ole Martin Rordami has been cooperating with Tbilisi State Medical University for a year. He presented the university with the pulse-technology device "SOLARI Square Pulse Technology", which was installed in the academic clinic of pediatrics named after Givi Zhvania of TSU and plays a very important role in the treatment of vascular tumors in children. As the Norwegian guest mentioned, he has relations with several European universities, a similar device operates in many clinics, and the treatment performed through it is effective and in demand. The device is used both for the treatment of dermatological problems of infants and postoperatively, from a cosmetic point of view. As TSU professors explain, university clinics have been given the opportunity to treat many forms of hemangioma in Georgia that were not treated before.

 

Within the framework of the visit, on March 19, Dr. Rordam gave a lecture to the students, residents and employees of Tbilisi State Medical University regarding topical issues of dermatology. He introduced the audience to the types of laser devices, talked about their effectiveness, discussed the procedures and results of the devices. The meeting was held in an interactive mode, the audience received comprehensive answers to the questions they were interested in.

At the end of the lecture, the Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, handed over documentation to Mr. Ole Martin Rordam, according to which, according to the decision of the Academic Council of TSU, Mr. Rordam was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of TSU for his contribution to the University.
